Ryan Necci and the Buffalo Gospel bring thoughtful lyrics and a distinctly earthy, slightly-southern string band sound we love. Another string band we love, Carrie Sue & The Wood Burners, will open the show with their strong vocals and experienced musicianship. All surrounded by walls of guitars and the warm hospitality of our friends at The Upper Bout.
The Opening Act – Our First Year Comes to a Close
As we wrap up our first full year of operations, we are pleased with the first five shows we’ve brought to Champaign-Urbana. Each artist brought the heart and the music we love so much. Special thanks to Cody for handling booking for our first year, and best wishes on his next adventure in music. Thanks also to our good friend Ken for serving on our board of directors for year one. Welcome to Carol, our new Marketing and Production coordinator. Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows, and be sure to sign up for emails and check our upcoming shows page for what’s next. -Mark and Jenn
Edward David Anderson – Live in Urbana
Getting Off the Ground
After about a year talking to people and exploring possibilities, Right Here Music is officially a thing. We’ve formed a not-for-profit organization, taken care of paperwork, recruited our volunteer board, and signed up Cody and Charlie to work with us on booking and planning. We’re talking to artists that fit our mission about bringing them to Champaign-Urbana. We should be ready to announce our first show dates soon, probably for February, 2023.
